It has been reported that US companies spend almost $14 billion annually on leadership development, and this emphasizes the importance of leadership development in organisations.

When a group of over 500 executives from all over the world were asked to rank their top three human-capital priorities, leadership development was included as both a current and a future priority. Almost two-thirds of the respondents identified leadership development as their number-one concern.
